Streaming Server:
In addition to the content creation facilities COLL maintains, in conjunction with AIT, a 100 user license for RealNetworks Helix Universal Server™ using the Linux OS running on Dell Poweredge 4600 PIV 1800 server. This server supports the streaming of a wide variety of media including Real Media, Windows Media, QuickTime, MPEG 4, MP3, MPEG 2, and more. LAS faculty wishing to stream instructional materials in support of for credit courses may do so at no charge*. Those wishing to establish an account on this server may do so by completing and submitting the COLL Streaming Server Application form.

This site has several short tutorials and several examples of instructional content using a wide variety of streaming media.

*Currently there is a charge of $0.00145 per MB per day for content not related to a "for credit course". Billing occurs monthly.
